Meeting the puppy for the first time…
Our Favorite Photos

Driving in the early morning…I thought this was the moon at first. It was just cold fog shading the sun…at 35 degrees it felt like winter has already arrived.

We came upon this pretty caterpillar and I thought aloud…”Wonder what this will turn into?” My girls said, “Mommy, just Google it!” So, we typed in “What does a fuzzy brown and black caterpillar turn into”…and up pops the name Banded Wooly Bear Caterpillar.
The power of Google! Instant answers…

We spent the weekend in the mountains and we could see small changes in the color of the leaves daily. It is such a beautiful time of year…

We went to spend the day at a Botanical garden. It always amazes me how beautiful it is…and how hard it can be to capture it in a photo. Sometimes what we see is so hard to capture…and sometimes we get lucky!

Pals! Big cat or little girl! Or both.
This was taken with my Easy Share so quality is not the best but it is still one of my favorite pictures. I found them sitting on the table together and it was just too cute…had to grab my camera before they got shooed off the table!

We had an opportunity to watch a college football game. Right in front of us were these two friends…I think the picture says it all…

As we drove along we saw a herd of cows….wearing cow warmers…girdles…sweaters…cow blankets?? In the brief glance that we had, it looked like someone took the time to keep their cows warm in the winter…or an odd prank!
We were intrigued and looked it up on the internet to find a breed called Belted Galloways also known as Oreo Cows. Belted Galloways are a rare breed of Scottish beef cattle that was introduced to the United States back in the 1950s.
We finally made a return visit to see the Oreo Cows!

It always makes me smile when I see this pic…I keep telling my husband we better treasure the days when a piece of cake, a new box of crayons, or a bottle of bubbles gives them pure joy.

Our cats are fascinated by Sunrise Earth…especially the ones with the bugs! They will sit on the entertainment center or in front of the plasma simply mesmerized.
